Having a tree in your backyard is such a joy. The beauty it adds to your landscape and the shade it provides for some outdoor fun for your family are benefits that no one will be able to dismiss. But... if there's one thing that truly bugs tree owners the world over, it's the fact that at some point, you'd have to engage in some tree trimming exercises.
Tree trimming, of course, is an essential demand of tree owning. Foliage can grow unsightly, or worse, it could encroach on the vital areas of the house, or even your neighbor's territory. If trimming trees would just be easy, it can be a lot of fun. But alas! You'd have to scale the top portion of the tree and reach some inconvenient areas to give it a good leveling. Trees encroaching on the house can be trimmed in a Y-shaped manner while the said trees are still young, to promote upward growth that will train the trees to avoid hitting any structure as they grow taller and wider.
In the end, you'll realize that tree trimming is a matter of common sense. Do what you feel is right, without jeopardizing your safety.
